Mirror

The mirror never tells me

I’m as beautiful

As you did;

It’s safe to assume that

One of you was wrong.

The glass on my wall

Lies to my face, while

The glass around my fragile heart

Lies broken around it,

Shattered by heavy compliments

Flung carelessly

And a little too easily.
